Director’s Corner: God’s Sovereignty
As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today (ESV) – Genesis 50:22
This verse, spoken by Joseph, tells us how God’s sovereignty used the evil done to Joseph to bring about God’s plan of good to save his family. One of our Good News Clubs curriculums focuses on life of Joseph through the action-packed series entitled, “God’s Sovereignty: The Life of Joseph.”
In this series, children will learn about how the Sovereign God is able to fulfill His promises even through difficult times. Children will be asked to consider how Joseph faced being sold into slavery, being falsely accused and being forgotten while he was in prison, led to rise to being 2nd in power in Egypt, shows God’s incredible faithfulness through all this and how we can respond with His patience and perseverance to build the character that he need to work in us. They will learn through Philippians 1:6 how God has began a good work in us and “will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ (ESV).”
We invited you to join us this year as volunteers are still needed in several of our clubs. We need to both teachers and assistants for just one day a week (no club when school is not in session). September 2026
1- Teaching Children Effectively – Level 1 being taught in Valley City, ND – September 13-18. Please pray that this helps us reach more kids with the gospel and multiply our effectiveness,
2- Good News Club registration opened 8/24! Please pray for many kids to sign up to attend Good News Club this year!
October 2026
1- Good News Clubs start their fall semester the week of October 5th. Please be in prayer for all the clubs starting, the volunteers teaching, the kids attending, and the administration and staff of each of the school. That the Lord may work mightily through the Good News Club ministry this year!
2- Vision Dinner – Please be in prayer for CEF of Fargo Moorhead’s annual Vision Dinner on Thursday, October 22nd at the Sanctuary Events Center. Pray that many new people to the ministry will be invited and attend. Also pray that current supporters would hear the vision the Lord has given for the chapter this upcoming year and be excited for the work the Lord is going to do!
