Ministry Coordinator
We are hiring a full-time, salaried Ministry Coordinator for Child Evangelism Fellowship of Fargo Moorhead.
CEF of F-M is looking for a passionate Christ follower to join our team, teaching children the Bible with interactive methods, and training teens/adults for kids ministry.

TITLE: Ministry Coordinator
OVERVIEW:
Organization: Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) exists to evangelize boys and girls with the
Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, and to establish them in the Word of God and the local church
for continued Christian growth.
Role: In coordination with the Local Director, the Ministry Coordinator performs the planning,
recruiting, supervision, and execution of assigned summer ministries and school year ministries.
Goal: To expand our reach in the Fargo-Moorhead area. To see a Good News Club in every
local public school. To expand and improve our summer ministries. To grow our CYIA program,
seeing more teens trained to share the gospel with children and in their communities.
REPORTS TO: Local Director
WORKS WITH: Summer staff and volunteers throughout the year
OVERSEES: Summer staff and volunteers under the direct supervision of the Director
RESPONSIBILITIES:
A. Coordinating ministries
1. Good News Club –
a. Assists the director with the implementation of Good News Club including
training, teaching, handling necessary paperwork, advertising, etc.
b. Assist the director with the recruiting of Good News Club teachers to ensure
that we can reach our goal of a club in every school in F-M area.
c. Provide teachers with follow-up support, supplies, and encouragement to
create a quality experience for all volunteers. Provide administrative support
for Good News Clubs on the days that he/she is not teaching.
c. Teach at least three Good News Clubs. Sub as needed.
d. Coordinate back-to-school nights by contacting each school and recruiting
volunteers to staff each school back-to-school night.
2. Camp Good News – Day Camp
a. Work with churches, Good News Clubs, and other groups to promote Camp
Good News.
b. Assist the Director with the planning and scheduling of Camp Good News.
c. Assist the Director with the management and implementation of Camp Good
News.
d. Ensure that Camp Good News maintains a quality program throughout the
summer.
e. Assist with driving campers during Camp Good News.
3. Go Camp (5 Day Clubs)
a. Contact churches/daycares/individuals to inquire about hosting a Go Camp.
b. Help oversee logistics and staffing for Go Camps.
c. Contact hosts leading up to Go Camps to make sure they are prepared.
d. Follow up with hosts after Go Camps for feedback.
4. Camp Good News Staff
a. Assist the Director with recruiting Camp Good News staff through former
staff, WQ, visiting youth groups/college groups, other venues, and one-on-one
contacts.
b. Assist with CYIA Training Camp, overnight for one week in early June.
c. During the summer, oversee Camp Good News staff, under the direction of
the Director.
d. Lead camper chapel or counselor in training (CIT) chapel, as directed by the
Director.
e. Assist in recruiting volunteer coaches for Camp Good News.
f. Assist with follow-up with Camp Good News staff (e.g. thank you notes,
surveys, staff events etc.) to express appreciation for their work and maintain
a connection with them throughout the year. Assist with new ideas to maintain
the connection and discipleship of students started in the summer.
5. One Time Party Clubs
a. Plan, promote and recruit one-time party clubs, especially at Christmas time.
B. Cultivating ministry partnerships
1. Assist with fundraising contacts for both churches and individuals. Set up meetings with
your personal connections or refer to the Director for follow-up meetings.
C. Training and teaching
1. Help plan and lead volunteer and staff training.
D. Office work
1. Attend weekly state staff meetings. Meet weekly with the Director.
2. Manage and track tasks by establishing a weekly agenda with the Local Director to
ensure proper efficiency in work.
3. Attend the Vision Dinner, and other fundraising events as designated by the local director
to maintain contact with supporters of CEF. Assist with the planning and execution of
the events as needed.
4. Conduct ministry-related communications including phone calls, emails, and respond
promptly to ministry needs to promote good communication.
5. Complete administrative tasks assigned by the director, including but not limited to social
media posting, prayer calendar, newsletter, etc.
6. Complete other duties as assigned by the Local Director
E. Upward Sports
1. Lead Upward Sports Calvary site Thursdays and Saturdays during basketball season,
January – March. Teach half time devotionals. Clean up and set up for games. Be the
contact person to resolve issues during practices and games. The Local Director and State
Director may fill in for you at Upward from time to time.

Schedule: Typically, a Monday-Friday daytime role. Schedule is flexible outside of scheduled
events and meetings. Requires in person work at the CEF office at Calvary Fargo. The position
will require some weekends and evenings. Training or conferences may require travel or
overnight stays. CYIA training camp, one-week early June overnight is required and one week of
overnight camp for Camp Good News in early August is required. Additional schedule details
can be arranged with the Director.
TRAINING:
▪ On-the-job under the supervision of the Local Director.
▪ The Children’s Ministries Institute (CMI), online and on-site (Missouri) required to be
completed for all full-time staff within the first two years.
COMPENSATION/BENEFITS:
-This is a full-time exempt salaried position. Compensation will be $40,000-$44,000 per year,
depending on experience.
-This position includes paid time off, paid holidays, and comp time, as outlined in the staff
handbook.
-$100 monthly benefit allotment to be used for dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance,
disability, etc. (not health insurance).
